Numb by Bondi Tattoo Care: Application

Numb should be applied 1.5 - 2 hours before the start of the tattoo session.

Step 1 - Prepare the skin.
*Trim or shave the skin. If not comfortable shaving, use a trimmer to shorten the hair and I will shave.
*Clean the skin using hot water to create a hot surface while also making the pores open to increase efficacy of the cream..

Step 2 - Apply the cream
*Apply 2-3mm thickness to the area. Thick and messy. Don’t be scared.
*Rub the cream into your skin. 

Step 3 - Insulate the cream
*Wrap the area with Seran/Cling wrap.
*If the area can’t be wrapped, cover with plastic wrap and tape appropriately.

The plastic film creates an insulating barrier that will retain your natural body heat. This natural process will keep the cream moist and facilitate an ideal environment for the numbing cream to take effect. Heat is required for the numbing agent to work effectively.

Step 5 - Removal of the wrap.
*Don’t worry about the removal of the wrap. I will take care of it and dispose of everything when we start the session.
*Don’t forget to bring the tube of Numb Cream with you to your appointment if a reapplication is required.
